Family Recognized in WWII

While numerous members of the family served in WWII, the family was recognized in the media in a couple of interesting ways:

LIFE Magazine (1945)
The Ton Family 50th Reunion received national recognition in LIFE Magazine during WWII.
Above photograph shows various branches of the family – including Eenigenburg.

Joseph & Johanna Eenigenburg recognized with 5 sons serving in WWII at the same time.
The brothers (Paul, Joe, Ted, Don & Phil) were great-grandsons of Gerrit & Jannetje Eenigenburg.
