Hi everyone –

The special Eenigenburg Family Reunion commemorating 175 years of the Eenigenburg Family in America is coming up soon. It will be
June 22 from 12:00 – 6:00 at Paarlberg Centennial Farm at 13274 Paxton Avenue in South Holland, IL. There’s even a historical reason
that we’ve chosen that location which dates back to the 1840s, and that you’ll learn more about there.

Also, did you know our ancestors were involved in the Underground Railroad in the 1860s, and that the Jan Ton farm on the Little Calumet River has been officially recognized as a “station” on the Underground Railroad? Jan Ton was in the same 1849 emigration party 175 years ago, and he was the brother of Jannetje Ton Eenigenburg (our direct ancestor). It’s a very interesting history you’ll hear more about.

We have numerous special plans in the works, and the attached document contains most of the details.

We are hoping for a great turnout, so please feel free to invite your extended family – and PLEASE RSVP to help us continue planning. If you are bringing children, please include their names and ages as we have planned some fun activities for the kids.
